Erynne Hill
Director of Resolve Wellness – Resolve WellnessErynne joined the Rehab United family in 2007 to help grow the company by developing a massage department for the business. She drew upon her experience in working with collegiate athletes in the athletic training room to establish a business model that would focus on providing therapeutic massage to help clients perform better at any aspect of life, and experience less pain while doing it.
Erynne graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 with a degree in Athletic Training. Her degree program focus was the prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, which only directed her further toward injury remediation during her massage education. She ambitiously added massage school to her calendar while concurrently working toward her undergraduate degree, and completed both within months of each other. The complementary value of therapeutic body work used in the rehabilitation process with the collegiate athletes she supervised was profound, and the results she saw with the combination were inspiring.
Relocating to San Diego in 2003, Erynne worked initially as a Physical Therapy Aide to reinforce her understanding of the body’s natural healing process and how best to facilitate that through massage and other modalities. She became proficient in exercise prescription, stretching mechanics, and ergonomic evaluation. Chronic and overuse injuries, brought on by sport or other daily use, became the primary target of the style of massage she developed. She returned to school at San Diego State University and obtained her Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology in 2008 to help expand her knowledge base to apply toward the development of Functional Wellness programs at Rehab United.
Continuing education is a strong focus and Erynne has pursued many specialized trainings since obtaining her initial massage certification. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Prenatal Massage, Myofascial release and Structural Integration are some of the specializations she has studied. Erynne has also taught in massage schools in the San Diego region and has guest lectured for University level courses on MLD, anatomy, ergonomics and more.
When not working or teaching, Erynne enjoys riding her bike(s), snowboarding, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
